This week's playlist is your Australia Ambassador Jackie's top picks-
In May & June I went on holiday to Orlando & New York and especially in New York I walked around the streets listening to music feeling inspired & free. Where ever I am in the world I always have my phone & headphones as music makes me feel more confident & happy. Nicks music has always helped me through whatever I'm dealing with whether i need a good pump up song, im in a relaxing/chill setting or not feeling my best. Here are my some of favourite Nick songs.
Starting with my favourite pump up song of Nick's. When Levels comes on I have turn it up & sing my heart out. This song is so underrated & is such a banger!
Brotherhood Of Man (from How To Succeed)
I love broadway shows so being able to see Nick in this element makes me so happy especially when it doesn't happen that often.
The guitar & beat in Touch is so great. The song is so simple but brings so much. The song makes you move no matter what mood you are in & that is why it's one of my top Nick songs.
Can we just start off by saying how much of bop this song is! The rap by Sage & the amazing vocals by Nick is something I never knew I needed. If I need to get a pump up in life I turn on this song.
Find You was my favourite song of 2017. The video and song give me such a happy vibe and just make me feel good when I hear the song no matter what time of day it is.
My favourite song off LYWC is The Difference. I love how the song is produced & has such a great banger of a song. It's a great song for a Saturday night whether you're at a club or just have friends over listening to music.
Nick came to Sydney in 2015 for Mardi Gras & I got to see him perform Wilderness at an acoustic radio event thanks to my friend Jackie. It brings back such amazing & happy memories being in that room singing along with my friend who I met online because of our love for Nick & his brothers.
When it got announced Nick & Mustard were collaborating together I got so excited. Mustard has had so many good songs these past few years that I love & being a huge fan of Nick I know the song was going to be such a jam.
I picked NJATA version of Tonight for this playlist because to me it just shows how Nick can change up a song he and his brothers created by making it something so different and unique in his own version that it makes it sound like a different song.
The vocals show how talented Nick is but if you listen to the lyrics is shows another side of Nick. The lyrics "Clip my wings so I can't fly, bury me deep but I won’t die was it worth it?" are my favourite lyrics of Nick. They just stand out to me for some reason and I can't explain why.
We know Nick is one amazing songwriter but this song just show how vulnerable he can get in a song with certain topics. The vocals just show how much the story is to him & it's why I love this song so much.
My all time favourite song by Nick. This song makes me relax & feel so calm. Whenever I'm not in the best mood or even if I'm in a good mood I put Santa Barbara on & I know I can rely on it to take me to an beautiful place.
